Interior Designers and Decorators

Interior Designer and Interior Decorators designing kitchens and bathrooms can extend their skills by completing a specialist qualifcation or short course.

Certificate IV in Kitchen and Bathroom Design. This course is the only specialist qualification which provideds in depth training specific to kitchens and bathrooms in Australia. For those who have completed a nationally accredited course such as the Diploma of Interior Design or the Certificate IV in Interior Decorating, Direct Credits are available, saving time and money when completing further accredited training. Experienced Kitchen and Bathroom Designers

Experienced kitchen and bathroom designers wanting a formal qualification could complete the Certificate IV in Kitchen and Bathroom Design. Cabinet Makers and Builders

Cabinet Makers and Builders who are wanting to gain additional design skills could complete the Certificate IV in Kitchen and Bathroom Design. New to Industry

If you are wanting a career in designing kitchens and bathrooms professionally, you should complete the Certificate IV in Kitchen and Bathroom Design. This is the only specialist qualification in Australia which provides in depth training specific to kitchens and bathrooms.

If you are looking to a career in Interior Design, and are not sure whether to complete a course in Interior Design or Kitchen and Bathroom Design or are not sure about committing to a full qualification, you could consider a Short Course to get you started. Units completed in these courses will give you direct credit for the Certificate IV in Kitchen and Bathroom Design with DTA or a Diploma of Interior Design or Certificate IV in Interior Decoration with other providers.

If you are wanting skills to design your own kitchen or bathroom you could complete a short course such as Kitchen Planning, or Bathroom Planning.
